Hotel Schoental - Filisur

This hotel is a hidden gem in the charming mountain village. The rooms are clean and stylish, with lovely views from the south-facing balcony. The owner goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, offering extra breakfast items and even organizing a dinner table at a nearby restaurant. The location, just a short walk down the hill from the train station, is perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings.

The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by mountains and offering crisp fresh air. I was lucky to have a room with a balcony, from which I could enjoy the breathtaking views. The hotel itself is charming, with a traditional wooden chalet style interior that adds to the cozy atmosphere. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The restaurant served delicious meals and the continental breakfast was excellent, especially the cappuccino.

This guesthouse is conveniently located near a train station and the popular Bernina Express train. the walk to the hotel is down a steep hill, so be cautious. If you are lucky enough to book a newer room, it will be comfortable and quiet. the Italian restaurant in the hotel offers tasty food and good service.

Some guests have had unpleasant experiences with the staff accusing them of stealing items from their rooms.

The hotel was located in a scenic mountain location, with fresh air and beautiful views. The breakfast offered delicious local specialties and a variety of options. Plus, the staff was welcoming and helpful with directions and recommendations.

Spent Xmas at this mountain hotel, and the room was cozy with stunning views all around. Loved the lush greenery, and the snow, capped peaks that surrounded us on all sides , it was like staying in a winter wonderland. the staff were polite and welcoming, and the breakfast was lip, smacking , I enjoyed the scrambled eggs, fresh buttered bread, and honey. I also appreciated the convenience of the location as we could go on a hike and explore the quaint village with ease.

There were a few aspects that brought down the experience. the room had poor sound insulation, and I could hear footsteps and noise from upstairs that made it difficult to sleep at night.
